I've read this forum for a few years now. We conceived dd1 naturally, dd2 was conceived with clomid/iui after two years of trying. We're on cy10 of ttc#3. So I see all kinds of threads about meds, protocols etc but what about sex. Seriously I am sick of feeling forced to have sex at certain times, sick of feeling like I dropped the ball if we can't do it at the "best" time, if I can't actually do it every other day for days on end! We actually got in a tiff about it last night because I wasn't ready when he was, and then he refused when I was ready. Its just stupid. So how do you get through ttc without ruining your love life? Or do we just let it go and wait until our new RE is ready to do an IUI? I mean it was fun at first, but I'm not a machine. I'm sure we can't be the only ones who feel this way.

Yes, I think it's probably fair to say that most of us (all?) have been in this position. I have not figured out how to undo what's been done.....I keep hoping once this nightmare is over (whichever way it goes), that we'll somehow be able to go back to the way we were.

For me, it worked for us because we both enjoy it and make the time for it on a regular basis (although we tend to wait until the kid is asleep). Again, for us, I use the CBFM and I do not inform my DH when I'm ovulating. When I get a PEAK, I just insert the Pre-Seed, light some candles, lock the door, and there you go.....

Sometimes I told him, sometimes I didn't. A month or two in there we just didn't try. It took its' toll some months more than others.
