I can't believe we are almost all about 1/2 there!!!!<br><br>
For me this pregnancy is going so smooth and so so fast!!!<br><br>
Has anyone started to really prepare? ie. wash clothes, buy clothes.. breast pump, slings?

It has been going by super fast for me! I haven't done the first thing to really prepare!<br>
I'm living the "let's get new flooring" nightmare. For the last 3 months we have been "living" in the dining room w/ our king size bed and one recliner. It's not been that bad BUT I'm ready to have all of my furniture etc. moved back in. Once the floor is done I'm going to do a deep cleaning of everything and I'm so excited to go through my baby things I have packed up!!

I am halfway there! YAY! Sometimes it feels like it's going fast and other times it feels like I've been pg forever.<br>
We found out it's a girl a few days ago and my mom and mil were there at the u/s. Afterwards we went to Target and I think my mom bought the entire baby girls section. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> Maybe not everything but a good bit. I hadn't really bought anything that was gender specific up until this point so it was fun actually picking out pink stuff. Now I've moved on to picking out bedding and other baby gear. I got rid of everything when I thought we'd never have another baby so it's like starting from scratch. It's actually kind of fun. And picking out girly diapers has been a blast!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink">

I've started stocking up on cloth diapers, since we would never be able to afford that amount in one lump sum. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> And I've started my registry. Other than that, all I've bought are fat pants for me. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

DH and I went to Babies-R-Us for the first time too see what they had. It was a bit overwhelming. I'm probably not going to get much there but we wanted to get into the baby spirit of things. They had a decent selection of "holistic" books which surprised me.

So far I've gone through my kids old clothes and taken out the boy/unisex stuff and put them aside. I've also gotten a few new outfits, as well as some outfits from consignment shops. Oh, and we have some diapers as well.<br><br>
As much as I want to go out and buy tons of little clothes, I'm trying to stop myself since I'm sure we'll be getting lots of clothes as gifts. Instead I need to start focusing on bigger items like the carseat and bedside co-sleeper.

I have done a little bit of knitting and lots of thinking about diapers and slings but not too much action.

I am also excited to be halfway there...with the pregnancy part of the whole thing at least <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> .<br><br>
I haven't really bought anything yet, unless you count the yarn for the baby blanket I am knitting. I have, however, been having fun putting our registry together...I haven't told anyone irl about it yet, so its been fun researching the stuff we will need etc. on the down low.

I'm glad, I'm not the only one who is shocked on how fast it's going... Granted getting out of the first trimester "worrying" seemed to take forever, but the past 8 wks have flown by...<br><br>
I'm a bit of an anal dork, so the day we found out our little one was a boy, we dragged out all ds1 clothes... We really have so so much.. Although ds1 was such a brute, at 4mths old he was wearing 6/9mth clothing. But I figured I'd buy some long sleeve onesie shirts and put them under any short sleeve shirts...<br><br>
We do have to get a another infant car seat base, and get it checked...<br><br>
I also have to get on my VBAC reading!!!

I can't believe it either!<br>
As soon as I started to feel her move my nesting instincts kicked into high gear. So far we've<br><br>
-built & started a new square foot garden<br>
-started an indoor clothes drying area w/clothesline, garment racks & improv drying racks<br>
-got 5 chicks (hopefully all hens) and have built & rebuilt their pen to accomodate their rapid growth... need to make a chicken tractor for them by mid-may<br><br>
Next big thing is starting a rainwater collection system for said sq.ft.garden.<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> Yes, I lump this in w/nesting, we want to be more sustainable over here in suburbia...just trying to get everything in order for her arrival!<br><br>
When we found out we were having another girl I started going through all of dd's baby clothes <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love">. Oh my, we have some cute stuff!<br><br>
I also found a small stacinator & some lovely ecobaby fitteds. The rest of the dipes are MIA but we've got lots of boxes tucked here & there. I have lots of old prefolds that I want to make into contours. Goodwill was having a sale on sweaters so I bought a few wool ones & felted them yesterday for covers/longies, too.<br><br>
PLUS I feel like I need to get stuff ready for dd to be a big sister. I want to make her a special doll & sling for her birthday in August.<br><br>
So much to do! We were TTC for so long & now it seems to be happening too fast!

I can't believe that I will be 19 wks this Saturday!!!! Where has the time gone? When I was pg with DD it went by so slowly (which I liked) but this pregnancy is whizzing by. Right now the baby is moving so much and I feel like, wait wasn't it just yesterday that I found out I was pg?

Yes, I'm "only" 17 weeks and it's gone SO FAST. Perhaps because I've had a good attitude, and a toddler? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
As far as preparation, we brought home totes of baby clothes from storage in a relative's basement. (We have SO MANY snowsuits! Like, I'd say maybe six?! OR more. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/duck.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Duck">: )In another couple months (like after we find a dresser, haha) I'll separate out the neutral stuff and wash it and bring it up here. We're not finding the gender, so if it's a boy, we can wash the rest of the boy clothes and bring them up after he's born.<br><br>
Otherwise, keeping my eye open for slings. I want a Babyhawk MT with the headrest, in a print I love, preferably secondhand (I'm cheap, ok). So I've been looking on here and on ebay. If I don't find one by early September, I'll probably just order one new from Babyhawk.<br><br>
I need to start "collecting" diapers, we need a whole newborn stash since we didn't CD with DS till he was a year.<br><br>
It's partly that it's going so quickly that it seems almost unreal, I am so mellow this pregnancy, it just seems like I have so much more time in which to do stuff. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/innocent.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="shy">

It has gone so fast for me so far!! I hope the last half goes as fast. I have started some preparing. I am already buying diapers to get a good stock going.<br><br>
I went through my son's stuff and got it all together to give to a friend. She is giving me her baby girl clothes. I bought my bedding this week and hope to get it by Monday.<br><br>
I won't really start on the nursery tell August though. I like doing the nursery last so I have something to do in that last month. We are going to order the furniture in June or July most likley. We are moving stuff out of the house though and I plan to move my son in the bigger room in the next few months.<br><br>
I am so ready for summer time and swimming!

I'm planning to have an u/s at 20 - so just 3 more weeks. Time to schedule!<br><br>
I have been slowly buying a diaper here, a sling there, an outfit here... I'm not sure when I'll start doing more. Maybe when I have my finances sorted out! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
We have a loooong list of things that need to be accomplished before baby gets here - like unpacking our bedroom from our move TWO years ago! And seeing about getting the whirlpool fixed or replaced. Things that will really make for a better birth! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"> So I have to get onto those tasks. I envy those with enough energy to be doing this stuff already!! I seem to have NONE!!

Me too. When dh and I got married a year ago, I had lots of stuff that just won't fit in an apartment, but that we will want when we own a house. It is a disaster area in the extra bedroom that became our "We don't know where to put this" room.<br><br>
So I realized the other day, that even if I deliver 2 weeks late, I'm still more than half done with pregnancy. But then I have to burst my own bubble by reminding myself that Week 1 of my pregnancy was in November. That does seem like a long time ago.

Hit 20 weeks yeaterday and OMG it has gone by so fast. I guess that's what happens with the 3rd baby.<br><br>
We've been buying clothes, but not washing them, it's a bit early for that, no? I think we have pretty much everything we need, for the first few months anyways. My friend gave me her hospital grade breastpump, which will be great for when I go back to work, the thing is a real workhorse! So much stronger than my medela. We've also gotten some cloth flats, I love flats for that newborn stage, plus we have some newborn AIO's that I can't wait to use again!

mmmmm....definitely going by fast this time.<br><br>
First pregnancy I was counting the days, but now I am so busy that when I feel a little kick I get all excited and realize how things are moving along. I am going to go hear the heartbeat next week (20 weeks) so I am really excited.<br><br>
I have been more thinking about things than getting anything done! I did buy one adorable newborn pair of woolies and have been collecting soft flannels to make more of my own prefolds.
