I can, but it's tricky with the regular 1 or 2 mil stuff. I mostly use the HyFab breathable, which is a bit tackier so the layers don't shift too badly. I do up to 4 layers at a time, sometimes more of the breathable. I fold the fabric lengthwise, wit hthe selvages lined up and the fold crosswise, with the cut ends lined up. I use a big clear plastic ruler, both to line up the grains but also as a weight as a trace the patterns. I trace all my lines onto the fabric with a fine point sharpie and then cut. It takes practice and patience, but it's doable
