Can you do WOOL on the go?

I would love to do exclusively wool covers and shorties over my fitteds. However, you have to air out wool between uses. Is it possible to use these when you go out somewhere for the day? Seems like it would be hard to air them and you would end up having to wash them much more. Should I just use wool at home and get some PUL for going out?

I use wool out and on the go, and don't air them out between uses. I will carry a PUL cover just in case the wool gets a little too wet or soiled, but if you change the diaper often enough it shouldn't need airing out.

I don't air the wool when we are out and about unless it's REALLY wet. If it is, I just leave it out in the car or hang it on the stroller handle or put it in the diaper bag to air later. it's really not hard.

:

we use dooderbugs wool covers exclusively including out and about and never have a problem with needing to switch covers after a change. We use the same cover every day until it gets pooped on

we do, I just stick it in the diaper bag, it's not really the air that freshens it up, it's the reaction with the lanolin. (lanolin+urine=soap, or something like it) ......my dd doesn't get the covers wet really, though, just maybe damp sometimes.
you can also get a wool wet bag (made of wool!), that would still allow the wool to breathe until you get it home.

We always rotate covers (I will lay it in the diaper bag) and our shorts have never wicked to the outside. Its never been a problem doing wool on the go.
