So I just "popped" this week and I can really feel where the top of my uterus is . It makes me happy! It is between my pelvic bone and my belly button (almost halfway) which I think I is a little higher than it should be. At this point I am happy to be ahead than behind

I checked mine because I haven't had an opportunity to go in for an appt. yet.

I have the doppler and my knowledge of my own body and previous pregnancies for reassurance right now after two losses. hopefully insurance will kick in soon.

I can feel my fundus. Which is good. All my ms signs have gone away. So the 'is it real' thoughts are coming in. I don't know why. Maybe it's reading all the missed miscarriage threads and being sad for the other mamas. I haven't heard the hb and probably won't for a while. I may at my next appt ask for the doppler just to reassure me. But generally we don't use it. IDK. I can feel the fundus right in the middle of my belly button and my pubic bone.

I love the fact that I have the doppler to put my mind at ease If I hadn't had the history I do I probably wouldn't even use it I remember being pregnant with my first and being so happy go lucky not worrying all the time, now it's a totally different story so yeah I'm obsessive about checking pregnancy signs n' such

Max'sMama if you can feel your fundus there's someone growing in there :) so rest as easy as you can Mama and don't feel like you caved if you want them to use the doppler that little thumping swoosh is just the most wonderful thing when you've been worried

I am so excited that I will be meeting with the midwife tomorrow morning I really hope that I hear the heartbeat... After two late first tri losses this year it would be quite excellent to hear the heartbeat. I am officially more pregnant than I have been this year today! (I lost my 1st pregnancy at 11w5d and 2nd 10w2d) So to hear the heartbeat tomorrow would take a lot of fear away!

why can't I find that darn fingers crossed smiley!

yep my midwife told me when I was pregnant with my last that it was like a little ridge or shelf right now. It's way easier to identify the further along you get of course.

I have never had a problem feeling it in my other pregnancies, but this time my IBS is so bad that I can't find it amidst all the swelling and bloated intestines. :(

I think it feels like a firm pomegranate that is actually sort of tender if pushed on. Not painful but not something I would enjoy. For me with #4 it seems to be about midway between pubic bone and belly button.

The midwife stated that I was exactly where I should be right now! So that is a relief. We weren't ablt to hear the hear beat (she has a late pregnancy doppler (to minimize the u/s) so she will be coming by in a few weeks just to hear the baby. It is so good to be on the right track!
