I used to be able to, in fact, in hurt like hell, but I can't really feel it anymore. My DC is a year old.

Can you feel yours? Does your other breast leak? How old is your DC?

DD is almost 5 mos old & EBF...
I can still feel the letdown but it's not nearly as strong as it used to be, & I notice I don't leak as much either. I just figure my body's adjusting...I'd love to not need pads! LOL

Still feel it, sometimes a tingle, sometimes down right painful
Yup, the other side leaks or even sprays, I've had it where it's shot clear across the room!

My daughter is 22 months old, and I no longer feel it most of the time. Sometimes if I'm particularly full, like if I haven't nursed in longer than 6 hours, I'll feel it. It doesn't hurt anymore, but in the early weeks I had to use my lamaze breathing to get through it! The pain faded by 6 weeks. I think I stopped routinely feeling letdowns by one year.

ds2 is 8 months. i feel it everytime and it is usually a little painful, but not always at all. i am FINALLY starting to leak a little less on the side i am not nursing on. all of this depends on how long it has been since i last fed him. i know how you feel if you're a little worried about not feeling it. i went through that with ds1....i was like oh no! i'm not producing milk anymore! what happened?! then i make myself look at him and he's gulping milk and spilling some out of his mouth

i felt it all the tile until my son was 6 or so months old, he's now 2 and i hadn't felt it since then but all of a sudden last week i felt it a few times. it was totally weird!

when he was smaller it hurt but is a weird tingly hurt sort of way. i can't explain it, maybe hurt isn't the word for it.

I always feel it and usually it is pretty painful. Dd is a little over 4 months. Sometimes it doesn't feel quite so strong but nonetheless, always know when it's occurring. The worst is when she stops nursing right when I'm letting down!! WIth the breast pump its' not as strong either.

I still feel it at 10 mo, it's just not as strong. I don't think it was ever really painful.

Oh I didn't read down far enough and voted incorrectly. When mine were small my letdown hurt. I mean yeouch hurt. Then it stung. Then it was noticeable. Now I usually only feel it if it's been a while since I nursed.

I never felt it with my first baby. I felt it a little with my 2nd, but only in the very beginning when I was struggling with oversupply.

I felt it for a longer time with DS, even though I didn't have oversupply issues with him.

Yes, but it's uncomfortable not painful. The other side leaks and if DD (9 months old) pulls off during letdown, she gets soaked.

I've never felt letdown, and nor have I had any issues with engorgement or leaking. Fine by me!

I voted "Yes, it hurts a little." Sometimes it's just a tingling feeling, other times (usually when I'm engorged) it's pretty painful. I feel it every time, though.

My other side doesn't spray during letdown, BUT if I so much as touch the nipple on the side that's letting down, I can seriously shoot milk probably 4 feet outward.

I've had that happen too as well.
