I have seriousy considered simplifying my stash down to one type of diaper Flats Only....Will I regret this? I have thought of putting all my fitteds (except aio's for dh) and my premiums and possibly even my icpf's on the TP....I have limited space here and have two in diapers. I like the pf's but I think I like the trimness of the flats even better...and I can always fold a flat inside a kite fold for a more absorbant dipe. I was also thinking I can get hyena with covers if I really wanted to...I just need more simplicity...no liners, no inserts just flats....BUT....will I regret it??? Just trying to get some opinions before I take the leap.....

Hmm...if I were you, I would start small. Don't sell all of your fitteds, pfs, etc. in one fell swoop. Sell, say, 1/4 or 1/3 or 1/2 of them. Give it a couple of weeks, see if you're still always reaching for the flats. If so, sell a few more of each kind, etc. etc. until you're either at your all-flats stash, or until you've changed your mind about having a one-system stash.

ITA as well. I think it's a matter of personal preference too. I definitely like having sets of dipes. I cannot handle random dipes. In the same sense though, I like variety. I dont think I could do just one system. I have my AIO days, and my pocket days :LOL So I agree.. you should start slow, and see if you like having just one system.

Good luck

I really like variety! I sell off some, buy others, try these new ones, use some old ones. . . I think that's what makes CDing fun--it's not just the same while sposie over and over with maybe a different character on the front/butt. If it were me, I could NEVER just use one system b/c I'd be too curious about ALL those other diapers I want to try!

I agree. I am not a one system kind of gal. It changes from day to day. I was all about my wool a couple months back...then one day I decided that I didnt like all the compression leaks I was getting (DD IS a SUPER SOAKER) so I decided to sell off most of my wool.
: So I did.
: and now I am slowly finding myself wanting to use more wool
: I am SO happy I didnt get rid of my lone Kiwi Pie

I would sell off 1/3 or so of the diapers you reach for THE LEAST and buy a few flats. Try them and see how you like them.

Ahh ... just do it! :LOL Or, you could pack them up (sell some if you want) and then store them at my house (kind of like freezing them in a block of ice
), and then if you want them back, you know where they are. I'm still doing great with flats ... John even reached for one yesterday changing Aaron. I'm thinking with both babes, flats are a great idea (and they don't hold stink!). You could even get some hemp flats for Noah ... those might hold him overnight!

I think packing them away for at least a few weeks to see if you can live with out them is a great idea. The last thing you want is to have to replace them all if you don't like having only one kind.
But then again if you like shopping :LOL
