I have heard some women swear that they could. Some claim to be really sick with one sex and other visa versa. My first three pregnancies were girls and I was quite sick with nausea, vomiting and extreme fatigue with all three and till the very end of the pregnancies. My fourth was a boy and I only threw up once, and had tons of energy. This time I feel pretty awful again, so I feel like that might mean I am having a girl. I definitely was eating healthier last time and think it might have made a difference, but I don't know if it would have made THAT big of difference. I am trying to eat healthier again, but it's hard when I feel SO sick. What have been your experiences with carrying boys verses girls? Thanks!

I have only had two pregnancies, one boy and one girl, so I am not sure I am qualified to take a guess. BUT...

With my first (a girl) I was sick to my tummy all the time, but only threw up once. With my second (a boy) I was sick all the time and threw up all the time and thought surely I was going to die in the first trimester. I was also exhausted, but that was probably from being dehydrated.

It's still too early to tell this time around as I am only 5 weeks and with both of my other pregnancies, I don't think the sickness hit right away.

I read a study somewhere that said that women usually feel sicker with girls. However, so far, I have had 2 girls and 1 boy and was MUCH sicker with the boy. This pregnancy feels just like the girls pregnancies, so I guess time will tell .

This is an interesting question. I already have 2 boys and this pregnancy is very similar to the other 2. I had a m/c between my boys but few symptoms so who knows.

well, I only have had one boy and one pregnancy but my pregnancy with him was smoooooooth sailing. No nausea, nothing. I was "slightly" fatigued with him. This time, I'm SOOOOO Nauseous ALL DAY LONG and could fall asleep at the drop of a hat. Yet, I am feeling boy again, so I am sure this is just my body's way of "throwing me off!" lol!

Nope, I can't...thus far of my 3 kids my pregnancies with Janelle and Travis have been the most similar, and Travis and Kincaid the most un similar. So that wasn't an indication. Also my mommy instinct has been wrong all 3 times, but dh is so far 3 and 3 for guessing the sex, he thinks this one is a boy (and so do I...so either I'm finally right, or he is finally wrong).

I had hyperemesis with both Janelle and Kincaid, and again this time, but it was so much worse with kincaid that there should be another word for it. I threw up 20 times a day, couldn't keep down water, needed rehydrated more times than I can remember, and that was on a ton of prescriptions to try to stop it, and it lasted all 39 weeks of pregnancy. With Janelle I took phenagran for a while, and it was gone by the middle of the second trimester. This time I am taking zofran, and it's helping, but even before that I wasn't as sick as with kincaid while on drugs. With Travis I just had what I would consider normal morning sickness, I threw up about 3-5 times a day and was nauseous 24/7 no matter what I did till around 16 weeks, then it slowly went away, though I still had a few issues with nausea/vomiting occasionally till about 25 weeks.
