My lucky ds has inherited my tendency towards canker sores. He got one last night after a bout with a fever, and I'm not sure what to do. It hurts him to drink, eat, and nurse, and he's refusing to do any of them! When I have a canker sore, I put salt on it, which hurts like a you-know-what, but it helps it go away fast. Obviously, this would be incredibly traumatic for my ds. So does anyone have any ideas to help this heal. I should state that we live in the boonies, so we don't have easy access to natural healing. I do have some stuff, but it tends to be stuff you can't ingest. Thanks!!

my doc gave me a recipe to mix benedryl (because its numbing) to maloxx and rub it in the mouth lightly.

you can always buy something like oragel. I get canker sores all the time, there one of the worst pains ever!
