I have been struggling with this issue since she was born and now she's about to turn 5. While I was there I checked out the curriculum and she's already 80% though it. So I'm seeing this as she get's 3 hours of playtime a day and I get 3 hours of study time a day which has been my #1 complaint the last school year, I literally do not get to read my school books because every 2 minutes I have a child bugging me or I'm off cleaning up some disaster she created (today she completely soaked her bedroom with a spray bottle, I thought she was playing with Velcro! then she went on to flood the bathroom 20 minutes later, wont tell ya what she did to the kitchen when I was taking a pee
: ) and its gotten really frustrating for me. (doesn't help I have a withdrawl headache) So, I enrolled her in school and will just have to home school her in the mornings or something. I cant believe there K curriculum is what I consider preschool! This is going to be a fun year...

I would worry about her being bored and not sitting still at school. She will still have to follow the routine and do the work. My son got into trouble a lot in Kind b/c he was bored out of his mind. The teacher wasn't able to get him to stay with the group b/c he already knew what they were doing. The teacher would be reading the directions and he would be done with the whole paper before she finished the instructions. I am also in school (my second year) and I always study after the crew is in bed. We have a 7:30 bedtime at our house. This will be important next year as we are homeschooling everyone.
