I love holding my baby. She rides in the sling whenever we are out, fits in it real nice, and its great. But she is 7 months old, and the past week, I can't put her down for one minute. I thought it was separation anxiety, but I can be sitting right with her and she's bawling. I am considering calling the doctor.
She doesn't nap unless she is in the sling, I can't lay her down on the bed once she falls asleep in the sling, even if I lay down with her. I can't get much done with her in the sling, as she is old enough to be grabbing at everything, leans out to reach things and throws me off balance, etc. I have an ergo, and that is good for about 10-fifteen minutes once a day, then she cries.
What do you all think? Separation anxiety, teething, illness (with no other symptoms), typical baby behavior? She can almost crawl (at first I thought she was just frustrated with new skill developing), but she won't practice it anymore since she won't be put down, so how is she frustrated?
I am very frustrated. I am very willing to give much of myself to my children, but I feel like she's taking 110%, and I have a son, too. I have considered taking up smoking again, I am so on edge.
And the wierd thing: she sleeps great at night, she can be alone in the bed for hours asleep until we come to bed. What's going on?
