I am allergic, but would like to get a couple acrylic soakers in pretty girly designs. I know they can't be used over and over like the wool, but I thought it might be fun anyway.
Can anyone PM me some wahm's who do great work and would be receptive to doing something in acrylic?

And, can I ask what you're allergic to in wool?

I thought I was allergic to wool, turned out it was the lanolin... *NOW* it turns out it is only LANSINOH!! I can use liquid lanolin NO problem! How weird is that?

Lansinoh gave me head to toe hives!!

Sorry if I'm a dork, just thought I'd tell ya my experience. I'm now feeling the woolie love

Not weird at all! About 2 yrs ago we were having wool issues with my oldest. So I called Astrocrates and the gal told me to rewash it very very good but with baby shampoo, that here in the states we tret wool with products like Eucalan. turns out he is allergic to eucalan, dr.bonners, irish spring and many more soaps and detergents!
but my youngest is having no detergent issues at all!

They cannot be used over and over , but they are machine washable and dryable which makes them super easy to use and much quicker turn around time than wool. I have had 2 soakers outside for 2 days drying. Would much prefer the dryer.

Just to attest to th eusefulness of acrylic. Abigail slept in her acrylic soaker last night. I put her in it about 8 last night and changed her out about 8 this AM. She was wearing a celestial bablies (I think
) diaper under it. This morning she was sooooo dry on the outside, but that diaper was about as wet as they come. Literally soaked through to the outside. (not that this makes me a good mom or anything
)

Like I said I love this thing, it is in the washer right now....
