Miraculously, it looks like me and baby are totally fine. DH has some bad whiplash, and our friend in the back (yeah, 2 people in that back seat) ended up with a broken clavicle, fractured sternum, and one bruised, cut-up face. In so many ways, it could have been so much worse (dh's quick thinking saved the lives of 6 people, seriously), as we were hit while stopped on the freeway by a truck going 65 and not braking. Dh saw it coming and was able to get our front end out of the way before impact, causing us to spin off of the road, and then the truck demolished the car in front of us as well. There was supposed to be a 2 month old baby with us, and I am so grateful he wasn't there. Check out our car

Thanks everyone. I've gone through a range of emotions on this one. This just happened last night around 7pm, and I didn't see any news people there so I have no idea if there is going to be an article somewhere. Actually, I just found this -

We are the second accident mentioned in the video (you can see the red truck that hit us), and 1 person was flown to the hospital (our passenger), with 2 more in ambulances (my dh, and the guy in the honda civic). I was still there when they towed our car away, I somehow didn't see that camera crew.

The guy in the back was behind me (passenger side) and since we were hit from that left angle, his door was intact and he wasn't injured badly. They pulled her out from that side after bracing the car to make sure it didn't slide anymore down the hill.

I didn't see the driver being arrested or anything, and since there were no fatalities I'm guessing he won't be punished by the police. There was no drugs/alcohol involved, just a dumb kid that has some learning to do. Other than his insurance paying out for 4 cars and injury, of course. Plus his dad was there though we weren't sure if he was in the car with the boy, or showed up later, and he looked livid. He wouldn't even stand next to his son. I could tell the kid felt absolutely awful, and I'm sure the dad isn't going to let him off easy, but other than that I'm not sure if they could/would do anything else.
