I need to buy a new car seat for my 10 months old dd. I've heard very good reviews of Britax Marathon. However, I live in Canada and we don't have any Britax here. I am also afraid to buy the seat on the internet because I am not sure it would fit well in my car (Honda Accord 1997).

So, I guess my questions are:
1) Is it really worth going to States for me to buy Britax Marathon or I might as well buy some other safety seat here?
2) Does the product justify its high price? What differentiate this safety seat from others?
3) Can I fit it in Honda Accord 1997?
4) Are there any internet sites which will sell and then deliver the seat to Canada for me?
5) Any other advice on child safety seats is greatly appreciated.

I just love our Britax Roundabout! We shopped around for a seat that was easy to use and rated well in the Consumer Reports studies, and settled on this one. (I also really liked the fun "big cat" faux leopard print!!)
Baby Catalog of America (www.babycatalog.com) had them for about $190 US dollars, and offered free shipping. You might want to check it out. I think it would fit easliy into your Honda, but to be sure you could contact Britax and ask them about the fit.
Good luck!

check out the parentsplace carseat board. they have a link to a database of cars and car seats so you can get an idea of what car seat fits well in your car. here's the board -- http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-ppcarseats and here's the link to the database -- http://www.carseatdata.org/ . we have a britax roundabout and marathon and love them both. the marathon is a good bit bigger than the roundabout, though. it's in our bigger vehicle and we've just never tried it in the smaller one so i don't know if it would fit your honda or not. they are great seats, though.

You can't buy a seat for the US for primary use in Canada. It has to have the proper labelling from Tansport Canada and from what I understand the violations for fines can be pretty steep. Here is a link to another BB about Britax in Canada, it looks like they will be there very soon but you need to put a deposit down:
