Card Making Thread!!

Anyone have ideas for really nice Christmas cards? I almost hate to ask, but I have to start thinking about that. I want to get ahead of the game this year, ykwim??

I made our Christmas cards last year and they were just pretty basic. Thats because I waited til November to make them :

I'll get back here to brainstorm when I have a little more time. I have lots of pkgs to get in the mail today and a toyroom to clean

Thanks Giraffelovin mama I will check it out...I've looked at hobby lobby but I'm needing a quantity of 50-100...and they were a bit too pricey for me LOL

bugmomma~You could make the blanks out of cardstock (cut down to size) and I know that Office Max/Staples and other similar stores have envelopes that are not expensive and in quantity. They have white, cream, and tan. HTH

boongirl~that is a neat idea. I might have to do that one sometime.

I have to get some cards made tonight or tomorrow for a prize I donated on another mom's board I belong too.
Its a set of 5, so I hope she likes them......

I also need to remake a journal TODAY. I made it for a swap on here for a boy and its supposed to be for a girl. : How in heck I messed that up, I don't know, but I did!!!!!

I also have to make some cards...4 by Friday, I think I can do that. They are just card fronts so that should be easy.

I found a neat website: www.splitcoaststampers.com It is a site devoted to stamping! They have a ton of stuff there!!

great thread my SIL got me into cardmaking. though I don't make nearly as many as she does.

bugmomma-you can buy an envelope template and cardstock pretty cheap to make envelopes too.

btw has anyone seen this site? they sell the most beautiful papers! (just had to share it) I bought a bunch of scrap packs and they are great for cardmaking!
