I want to put my dd's carseat in an 1989 Dodge Shadow. My Shadow was a 91 and already had the tether anchor in it. Where the heck do I put it in the 89?<br><br>
I have a Graco Comfortsport.<br><br>

I'm surprised the 91 had the tether anchor, honestly..are you in Canada? Or did you get it retrofitted?<br><br><br>
If the 89 does not have a tether, you can go to the dealer and see if they will install one for you. This *should* be free or low-cost.<br><br>
Otherwise, you can use just the seat belt to install the seat without a tether.

I am in Canada and I had bought the car just a few years ago (since been in a collision)<br><br>
but I'm talking about the strap that comes from the top of the carseat. I have to have that attached when forward facing.<br><br><div style="margin:20px;margin-top:5px;">

I think what Jess is trying to say is she doesn't think you will be able to connect the top strap on your seat to anything in your '89 shadow. Cars that old rarely have anchors installed. Someone must have taken your '91 to be retrofitted with an anchor. You should be able to take your car to the dodge dealership and see if they will instal one for you.

Cars in Canada have had to have tethers for a long time, so it's possible they have a retrofit kit for it. Your best bet is to call the Dodge dealer and ask about getting one one put in.

I have the thingy (don't know what to call it) but it has a screw, some washer type things, a bolt and the part where the tether clips to. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
I'll take it down to the chrysler building and see what they say.
