I caved in to the ENABLERS on this board (
) and bought 4 hanks of Cascade 220 in Natural. What can I do with it? Soakers, felted slippers, sweaters? General suggestions are appreciated!! Even if you could compare it to some other yarns, that would be great. I have used LTK farm yarns and Zara as far as wool goes.

Going out tomorrow to stock up on Kool-Aid... LOL

Thanks!

I just dyed up a hank of Cascade 220 for a soaker. It feels and looks very much like the Paton's Merino that I have used before. I used grape Kool-aid and it doesn't work very well, unless you like a heathered purple color. The other kool-aid colors I have used worked great, especially the orange, cherry, blue raspberry and kiwi-strawberry (I think that's the green one.) I have heard good things about Cascade yarns.

That's all I use for soakers. In the course of washing, they end up felting ever so slightly - I guess I'm a little rough - and feel just silky when they dry. I haven't gone so far as to dye my own, but the colors seem to stay really true and not bleed, even the reds.

Trotting off to look at the felted bowls... that sounds just yummy!
