He did it! He peed while I had him on the BBLP!!

We're JUST starting, with very low expectations... so whatever we get is great

I figured at least I can sit him on it whenever we do a diaper change. It worked!

that is great news!

i need to work on specific cues. I am sure we will get there! If he can look at me and pee ON ME and laugh I am sure he can get it in the potty!

Congrats, that's exactly how we started, just while changing dipes. You'll soon be hooked. It is great.

I bet it is fun to catch a poo! :LOL I sit him on it at every change, and when he starts grunting or showing signs of needing to poo. So far, he doesn't relax enough I think. Or he gets distracted by other stuff. But lately he will at least sit on it for a few minutes - when we first started, he would not sit for anything. He always wants to stand! :LOL Maybe I should get him started with aiming? :LOL

The way we started catching poo was to catch her in mid-poo. She is the type of baby that will grunt and push out a poo in 3 or 4 chapters. So after the first, we'd take off her diaper and put her on the potty for the rest. Now we can catch them from the beginning but this was a good way to start.

Don't worry about making baby stay on the potty--they will get used to it soon enough, especially if you set up a mirror in front of the potty. Dd could sit there all day, so now I am moving the potty to our bedroom! :LOL Soon there will be no turning back and you will be obsessed with poop.

My DS sits for about a second at a time then runs :LOL
