There was a time when I LOVED my diapers. So much time went into picking the right kind for us, organizing them.

But now I'm almost 2 years into full time CDing twins. We just got through a weekend at the in-laws. Which meant packing lots of dipes, covers, STUFF. Then the girls got their covers wet on a rained on slide, had diarreha (and no sprayer like at home), etc. It was diaper, diaper, diaper. We got home and had to clean some old especially messy ones. Which then went right in the wash.

I'm just tired of it. Tired of fighting them on diaper changes. Tired of mild diaper rash because my mother doesn't fight them on diaper changes. I've had one twin demand her dirty diaper back. I've had the other twin demand paper nappies.

My girls show no intention to PT anytime soon. Intention. They fully understand and know how. So much for the claim that cloth encourages early PT. Not in our house.

We're starting preschool in four weeks.

Talk me out of switching to paper pullups. Tell me I won't be packing diapers for years to come. Remind me how awesome and better CDs are.

I can't really help, but just think how much longer it would take to pl in pull-ups if they are requesting them!!!!

Think of all the chemicals you are keeping away from there delicate skin.
Think of all the money you are saving.
Think of all the diapers you are keeping out of the land fill. Our children's environment.
Think of how boring paper diapers are, the nasty smell.
Think of how quickly they WILL train, (they will someday I promise) and how you will eventually miss cloth diapering.
Think of the wonderful gift you have given them by cloth diapering them.

Think that this to will pass. Kudos for cloth diapering twins! That is awesome and you should be proud of yourself no matter what you choose to do.

Thanks ladies. I re-read my post, and it sounds very negative. Sorry. I was just feeling down. I'm disappointed about PL, mostly because they asked to use the potty at 20 months and did so successfully, but then decided against it. As a treat, they'll use the potty occasionally in the last 7 months, but nothing consistent. I have some very opinionated girls.

And then the sickness really put me over the edge.

Along with my mom's decreasing support (she cares for the girls while I work.) Guess she's feeling some of the same things I am.

But you're right. I do hate the flimsy paper crap. Hate all the chemicals. Bad for girls, but if I had boys I wouldn't even be waivering at this point.

And I do love our system. Cricketts hemp fitteds and mothersease air flow, IMO can't be beat. Really good stuff, I'm glad to put on my kids. Maybe I should get a few more second hand and back off the prefolds. That would make changes faster and easier for everyone . . . and the minute I buy more dipes the girls will PL.

Just needed a little cheerleading. Remember the horrible chemicals. Remember the landfills.

Thank you!

Your welcome, I think we all have moments like that.

I don't know if you've heard but there have been tons of chemical burns with Pampers and there are massive complaints about them. Pampers is denying anything but they changed over to Drymax and it's been awful for kids. I don't know too many details but I wouldn't switch now just for this reason.

I think this will all settle down now since you're back at home. It's always hard when your routine is messed up.
