I was sitting waiting at the doctor's office yesterday and the had an issue of Epregnancy magazine and right in the middle they had a 4 page expose of cloth diapers. They had a little model wearing each different kind. There were BabySoftwraps, Granny's Ark, Country Cuttins, Bumkins, Stacinator and others. It was so awesome to see that there were so many WAHM brands. Heck, it was so awesome to see, period.

Seems like maybe they wanna be a mothering.com? they have forums and stuff to go with their mag, but they are just starting? no CD forum, and only like 1-2 posts anywhere! but great to see the CD ads there I am sure! I hope it gets spread around a bit more....

Maybe all the WAHM's should pool our resources (Read: MONEY) and buy add space in a bigger more main stream mag? make a big pile of everyone's products and link a site on where to find the links to the stores that sell each item? Combine and conquer or something like that!? You know CDing isn't what it used to be! how many sales ya think you would get with a CUTE little baby in a SUPER CUTE cloth diaper surrounded by cloth diapering supplies of today!? LOL Geesh I should go into advertising....

Just an FYI

Epregnancy used to be owned by the women who now own Pregnancyandbaby.com. There was some sort of legal dispute and inthe end they got out of epreg and started p&B. Epreg used to have tons of very busy forums, but they all followed over to p&b.

So... that's why their forums are "dead" at the moment...

I'm shocked that they did a spread on cd's!!! That is awesome!

Last week I was looking through some old magazines and I have a issue of EPregnancy from when I first found out I was pregnant last fall. In it there's ads for Kelly's Closet, MOE, Organic Bebe and Motherease. I thought that was the coolest; I didn't even notice them back then (before I thought of using CD).

It's always great to see!!

The original owners do have a cd board on the geoparent board. It was busy for awhile then slowed down.

I was on those boards for awhile then have slowly been coming to the other side!!

It's in the Oct issue. My OB's office always has it. It is a pretty good little mag. I have seen great articles on BFing, Circ, and now of course CD's. It usaully has birth stories etc.

Geo's (and P&B's) Diapering boards are still alive and well, they're just not crazy-busy like this board! :LOL

My understanding of the whole ePreg thing (I wrote on those board from when I learned I was pregnant and still write on the Geo boards.... Something like 9000 posts versus my 100 here! :LOL) the publisher of the ePregnancy magazine was requiring Nancy and Betsy plug their products in articles and would not allow them to mention competitor's products. : And the publisher was just wielding too much icky editorial control. It really sucked because Nancy and Betsy had built up and maintained the web site for a few years and created the magazine's name recognition... And the magazine had only been on the market for a few issues when they split.

At any rate, I never subscribed to the magazine but received a subscription somehow. : It's infinitely more mainstream than Mothering but promoted breastfeeding, cosleeping, and to a lesser degree cloth diapering. Its content (especially photo choices) really started changing after the the editorial staff changed.
