HI Meg
I did go to wild oats last week.
It was so nice. I really liked it.
I only purchased a few items.
We're on a very tight budget (4 kids under age of 7 - 2 going to private school).
I hope to purchase a little there every week. It was nice just to walk around and look anyway.
I also like good foods co-op. I will have to compare prices.
I hope good foods doesn't suffer too much from wild oats moving into town.
Anyway I hope we can get some moms from the area together.
That would be fun.
I live in Nicholasville (aka middle of nowhere) only 15 minutes or so from Lexington.
Well my two year old is eating crayons so I best pay attention to him before he eats all 64 colors. (that would be an interesting diaper change)!

I'm in Lexingotn, So. Fayette Co (just barely!). My DD goes to school in Richmond, so we spend lots of time there.

I have been going to Wild Oats, too. I really like it, much to my chagrin. I didn't want to like it, I really didn't. I wanted to be true to the Co-op. But it's just so nice there. So warm, and everyone is really friendly, and the deli is to die for. I hope the Co-op is able to compete. They still have a much better selection of herbs and spices.
It would be really nice to meet some other like-minded moms in this area.

OH YAY!!! More mama's in the Lex area!

I went to the WO's in Cincy when we lived there and LOVED it but I haven't been to the one here yet. I'm *trying* to restrain myself
. We're on a budget too
.

So, who is up for a G2G and WHEN!?!?! WHERE?!?!? I'm game for anything and anyplace.

Meg and I met at The Lex Children's Museum and had a ball! We could do that again or we could meet at a park or anyplace else y'all want.

Hi Mommys!

I'm really glad to find you all. I thought I was the only one in all of Lexington! Have you all decided to get together? If so, when and where? If not, let's plan! I work in the mornings (7-11am, Tues- Fri), so I'd love something in the afternoon, or on Monday. Sun morning is out, cause the whole family goes to Wild Oats for our weekly shopping trip (we, too, abandonded the co-op.... yikes).

Hi Elizabeth,
We haven't made any plans yet. Bridget is under the weather so we might not hear from her for a little while.
Mondays sound good to me. Although, we won't be able to get together at the Children's Museum because they are closed on Mondays. That's okay, though.
Anyone have any ideas on where we could get together with all our little ones?

I'm feeling better, I've had pneumonia, YUCK and will probably feel even better next week!

Lets plan a G2G. There are all kinds of places to go over here in G'town, there's Double Stink and a few other farms that have fall festival type things going on. Would anyone be interested in that?

I wish the mall had a playland like the one at Florence Mall, thats a great place to get together. *sigh*

Suggestions??!?!?

Hi everybody,

Glad to see a G2G is in the works again!
I would love to meet up - um, I don't have any good ideas about where though.
A fall festival thing sounds fun, though. Or even a park if the good weather holds up. I will be out of town next week but the week after is good for me.

Let's get a bunch of KY mamas together, OK?? And I hope some of you CD because I want to compare stashes!

I know Double Stink is free unless you buy pumpkins or do the petting zoo and the petting zoo is pretty cheap.

Autumn Fest at Bi-Water Greenhouse (in G'town) is free, I think.

A park sounds good to me. Any Lex mama's familiar w/ a park that is good for all ages? My little guy isn't walking yet but loves to swing in those baby swings.

Woodland park might be nice.
They have those three play areas all right next to each other.
I like it there because the smaller kids can play on the little people playground and the older kids can play on the bigger ones.
Anybody else have other ideas?

Woodland Park is great too!

Of course, this wonderful weather may hamper our plans a bit. It was BEAUTIFUL yesterday! What happened to the sun and warm temps!?!?

Sooooooooo............I'm thinking about hosting something at my house. We have TONS of toys and a huge living room we could sit and chat and play and eat............

Would y'all wanna come to Georgetown?!?!

Bridget,
I am so glad you are feeling better!
Playing at your house sounds like fun. We will definitely be there (unless you schedule it from Oct 17 - 24...we'll be on the beach)!
I hope the other moms will join us, too!

Bridget, that is so generous of you to offer to host the G2G at your house!

I can do it any time except for a few days around Halloween - the 30th is Cole's 1st b-day and we have relatives coming to town. I would be happy to bring some munchies!

How about the first week of November? I'm a Pampered Chef Consultant and have 2 shows this weekend and know I won't be able to get my house clean enough for company next week
.

Let's see:

Nov. 3 is a Moday and that would work for me.

Nov. 4 is election day and my oldest will be home, which is fine, but would that work for everyone else?

Nov. 5 is out b/c I'm a Mystery Shopper and have signed on to do a lunch shop that day
(Read: FREE LUNCH).

Nov. 6 is Thurs and its good.

Nov. 7 is Friday and its good too.

So, I'm flexible!
