Central/West Central MN Mommies?

I know there are mommies near Perham, Alexandria, Brainerd and such. I am kind of in the middle, north of Wadena. It would be fun to get together, meet some new people with similar parenting styles or just connect online. Anyone interested? I'm 22, married, and have a 2 yr. old. daughter.

Hi

I don't actually live near you, but my husbands family owns property on 71 just south of Sebeka. Its where my FIL grew up (MIL is from the area too). We go up there several times a summer. DH's aunt and uncle own Gordy's Greenhouse and Gardens so we go there for our plants and to pick pumpkins and other vegetables in the fall. We also help with the upkeep of the house there. Maybe we could connect sometime when I get up that way

I live pretty much smack dab in west central MN, a little ways out of Alexandria. We don't normally get up near Wadena though. We have family in Perham that we go see occasionally.

man this is getting desperate for me...finding other unschoolers in this area is like........i don't know, trying to see in the dark or something. i find myself so frustrated and alone at times wishing i never moved here because it is sooooooooo mainstream. or people are veryyyyy relaxed homeschoolers and i am looking for unschoolers......maybe many homeschoolers out there ARE true unschoolers...they just don't admit it/realize it/refer to themselves as such.

anyway...i'm really wanting to get to know anyone in this area-NOT the north metro as i'm on the outskirts of it. st. cloud, princeton, cambridge, milaca, onamia, isle, foley, foreston, zimmerman...where is everyone? or maybe there just aren't many of us here in these parts of good 'ol MN. sigh...

Katrina~ We probably know your husband or his family. It would be fun to go to the park or something sometime. They are suppose to be putting new equipment in at the city park this fall or next spring. My DD like to go to the school playground and the pool. She is such a water baby! I've gone to Gordy's in the past but a family friend oof my husband own's a greenhouse real close to us. I don't know I will go there next year though, because they are really downsizing and don't have many veggies or perrenials.


Starr~ I think we talked a while back? I would love to go to the PACC sometime. I know they have baby swim classes that would be fun. Its about a half hour from us.


chrysalis~ I work in Brainerd. That's quite a ways from you yet isn't it? We have gone to Holiday Inn Express Waterpark there a few times. DD loves it!!
