I've been trying to feel my cervix for the past few days. I can barely reach it (I have to bear down and squat really low to find it). So my question is, what does open/closed feel like? I cannot tell for the life of me if it's open or closed! I feel at the very tip like a tiny nub (for the lack of a better word), so what does it feel like when it's open? Can you feel it with your fingertip? It is like an indent? And if it's closed... is it just smooth?

Well, for me I have the best luck feeling my cervix when sitting down, or standing, but with one foot on the toilet. I usually check in the morning and other times of day when I am checking for CM. I have had a child, so I never feel completely closed. You will still probably be able to feel an indentation or "line" for lack of a better word that is the os (opening to the cervix). As you get closer to O, you should be able to feel the os opening up slightly and the cervix getting softer. I didn't chart CP my first 2 cycles because I was unsure, but I just kept checking it. I'm charting it this cycle for the first time, and I can definately tell the difference.
