Hi There,

I've been watching this group for a little bit and i think i might be missing something. Is there a certain group of women or certain symptoms that are associated with LMS?

For example, I read someone had asymetrical breasts, or high estrogen levels or other levels that are off...

I know there is no official medical dx or disorder called LMS but just curious if this group has noticed similarities common in people with LMS.

Thanks!

i've been reading along with this group for close to 2 years, and really haven't noticed any commonalities other than the low output of breastmilk.

there are some disorders and some surgical results that can cause low milk supply:

*insufficient glandular tissue (IGT)
*polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
*surgical breast reduction (mamas who breastfeed after this sometimes refer to themselves as BreastFeeding After Reduction (BFAR))
*hypoplastic or tubular breasts
*Graves' Disease (a thyroid disorder)
*other thyroid dysfunction

I have a couple of women who have struggled with low milk supply in real life, and there is no rhyme or reason with regard to size of breasts either. One mama is quite large breasted, while others are average sized or smaller.
