Thank you so much for yesterday, I honestly don't know what I would have done if you all hadn't been there to keep me focused and logical about getting medical help for myself. You know it doesn't really hit ya how dangerous it was until the next day? I can't believe I even thought about not going to the Dr or calling even. If it had been one of my kids it would have been 911 but it didn't seem as important with me (no matter how much pain I was in). Of course my husband couldn't believe that I got on the computer to chat with you guys before I even called him, he said 'how on earth could you type in all that pain' My only thought was 'they made it better, and I knew they would be there and would help me!' sometimes he is too busy at work to answer the phone, and he gets stressed about not having insurance on me so if I could have gotten away with no medical help I wanted to not stress him out.

Anyway I think I had everyone that was in chat yesterday updated, but I wanted to post here to make sure everyone sees my thanks, I honestly can't remember who all was in chat, so I can't thank all of you by name (the pain was pretty bad) and last night, well I can't remember who I even talked to all I really remember is seeing beautiful prefolds of Staceys Thanks to her and Shelly and bunches of Tylenol 3's I went to bed and had mad dreams about tye dyed prefolds! (I guess that is why Shelly is TyeDyeDreams right?

I just wanted to say thanks, I am still pretty doped up, but feel okay, I really appreciate you mommas, and I honestly don't know what I would have done without you. *sniff* now I am crying again. Anyway thanks!

Sorry but that was kinda cryptic huh? I didn't mean it to be.

Yesterday my snappi's tried to kill me. I was boiling them because they were covered in poopy (DH left them IN the poopy prefold and I found them while doing diaper laundry) I washed them off, but they just weren't clean enough ya know? so I boiled them. I was done boiling them, had the kids in the kitchen eating lunch, I was carrying the pot from the stove to the sink to dump it out, and the boiling water splashed up on my chest and burned me pretty badly on the left breast. The only part that is really skin damaged (3rd degree burn according to the NP) is the areola and half the nipple) I still have a nursling (Joe is almost 1) and now I can not feed him on that side, thankfully the other breast is fine. I lost a lot of skin and stuff when I pulled my shirt off to stop the burning, so I knew it was bad. Thankfully the wonderful women in chat talked some sense into me about how serious it was, and I honestly was probably in a bit of shock, the pain was unreal intense. Anyway that is my tramua, I didn't mean to keep anyone in the dark (although it is a bit embarassing, you ladies are great and I know won't laugh at me) My husband however did make some comment about how you only supposed to boil the nipples that go on bottles. :LOL he is such a card. My mom also said something about that being why I breastfed, so I wouldn't have to boil the nipples. Geesh glad they could get a good laugh (LOL it was funny though, and did cheer me up) Anyway there ya have it, I will live, thanks to chat!

I too have problems getting medical help for myself. Sometimes it takes friends to tell you "take your $#% to the docs!" LOL. Glad you are feeling better. And tell your DH never ever leave a snappi in a dirty dipe!

Oh marnie - OUCH! I hope you are feeling better. I burned myself (although not that bad and not in those tender places!) but this wet/jelly/cold patch stuff in the burn section really really helped. The next day I had zero pain, and they also stopped the pain as soon as I put them on.

Your hubby is funny.
