Check out the cover that I thought was ugly...but
It's starting to grow on me
I tried to dye this cover a pretty purple/lime green, but it turned out like this:

Any of you experienced wool dyeing mama's know what I can do to help this poor cover? It's not at all like I expected, and I don't know what to do about the undyed part between the colors...it looks so.....ugly.

Well, it shocked me at first because it wasn't what I was going for, kwim? I'm just bugged about the undyed parts, but the rest.....is......well........

I have to say, though, the picture is much better than the real thing. The purple is faded more than you can see here. I don't know, maybe I'll like it after all if I can just fix the undyed part...hmmm...I have a little more koolaid, might hafta just drip it on there somehow.

Good point Kimberly.
I had to do a dark color on the butt because she had sat in something in the garage, and there was a stain...well, it's gone now, so my mission was accomplished anyway. You should smell this thing, it's green apple on the front, and grape on the back... :LOL
Oh, and always wear gloves when using purple koolaid to dye. Else your hands will look well, rather grape-y!

You mentioned trying to fix an ugly cover, and I started to think about the truly fugly cover that someone showed us a couple weeks ago that was like a 70s Howard Johnson's motel shower curtain.

I agree with dying the middle blue... or maybe red would be dramatic. The blue would be more subtle...
But yeah, give it a vegetable name and you've raised the resale value another 50% at least.
