It's the closest hospital that can do his surgery. The hospital that is 5 minutes down the road from my house is not equipped enough to do his surgery or take care of him. I dont know if this hospitals level of NICU is a 3 but I would assume so if they would be moving more healthy NICU babies to a level 2.
