An Evening With Laura Flanders: Bushwomen, A Performance Piece
Local actors will perform scenes from Liz Cheney's steamy 1981 romance novel (!) Sisters and read a 1971 speech by Condoleeza Rice's father, John Rice, against the Vietnam War, along with other material adapted from the book.
afterwards there will be a discussion with Flanders and Salim Muwakkil, senior editor of In These Times and a book signing.
The proceeds go to Peace Pledge Chicago, producers of the documentary Where We Stood which is about the 700 arrested protesters who were part of the March 20th 2003 demonstration on Lake Shore Drive
Starts at 7pm, tickets are $16.00.
