I have a bantam sitting a nest up in the rafters in our chicken coop. I've never noticed mites before, but I could see them crawling on her. Well, I guess they're mites, maybe they're lice, I don't know.

Anyway, how do we deal with this? She's the only one in there because she's sitting the nest, and once the chicks hatch we'll let her out to free-range. A quick google search talks about chemically treating the coop, but I wasn't sure what were alternatives. I know my MDC mamas know the best way!
