Crossing fingers for Daniel!!

May I just say, we have so enjoyed everyone's visits to our home. I wish all you great mamas lived closer! I'm impressed that we not only had visitors from MA, but even CT and NY!! I hope we'll be able to share one last round of playdates very soon.

Definitely still contagious here...2yo is only just moving from spots to blisters. 6yo will be out with a friend for much of the day, so we'll be available for visits then from 10am-2pm.

We live pretty close to Krista but also have a new case here and are happy for company. The baby (well, almost two year old) has plenty of spots and is still sprouting new ones. Everyone else is well past the contagious stage.

You'd think that 15/16 days after her sibs came down with it I would have realized more quickly it wasn't posion ivy blisters. Ah... my stupidity never ceases to amaze me!

I'm glad this will be it for us but am sad because I always promised myself that once we have chicken pox my need for mdc will be over and I'll have to give up the addiction.

Your post count/join date ratio isn't high enough to warrant calling it an addiction.

Wahoo! 4 year old woke up from nap covered in spots. He's been warm for 2 days, but he naturally runs warm and it's been hot, so easy to miss. We're on day #15 post exposure, so right on track! Hoping our other 2 boys break out too. We're in Central Mass, welcome visitors (I'll have to figure out hours), but we ask that you a) all be healthy, b) be polite guests.

Hi LaughingRedhead,

Glad it worked out for you!

(this is still a result of the "jessjgh1" strain...we got it from Jess, S got it from us, and LaughingRedhead got it from them. Sharing the love
)

I wonder if it the strain of the virus that determines the incubation period? Seems like it's been right around 2 weeks for many of us.

Thank you so much for helping direct us to the pox! I'm so proud of that little poxy face every time I look at him! Here's hoping the other 2 will bust out as well. Maybe when they do, I'll actually have a clue they're about to, since the heat is supposed to go away and this time I won't think the fever is just hot boy. : ) Thanks again! Hooray for natural immunity!

Ooh, forgot to mention--it was AWESOME when I called #1 son's school (he's in 1st grade). I said #2 just woke from nap covered in chicken pox and what should I do? (We school choice to another district, which means I have to drive every day back and forth and physically go in and sign him out for pickup). They FREAKED! She asked me to get there a little early so that I could find a parking spot at the curb before pickup chaos begins, pulled #1 out of class 15 minutes early, and had the nurse walk him out to us. Nice! I'm hoping #3 starts as soon as #2 finishes to that I can keep up this convenient curbside service.
