I just wanted to let you know that I think my ds#1 has chickenpox. We got it from a neighbor whose little boy had it 2 1/2 weeks ago. He just started to break out with the rash last night.

I know how desperate I felt before trying to find anyone who didn't think I was crazy for _wanting_ my child to get it. So if anyone wants to have their child contract chickenpox pm me and we can make plans
.

We live in north Charlotte in the LKN area.

gosh I suppose it's a little too late now
I wish I had seen this thread back in August
We live in Gastonia and I want to go to a party because I want them to get it while they are young and they are getting older and older with no exposure. Let me know if you hear of any...please!!

Well, same b/c it turns out that the little boy who got the "chicken pox" if they really ever were had actually been vaccinated unbenounced to his mother (can you imagine!!).

So if you hear of any down by you, please let me know as well!

you can get it if you're vaxed.

it's been at my dd's school in chapel hill and a lot of the kids that are getting it are vaxed and have milder cases (50 pox instead of 500), but they still get it.

i think my unvaxed kid had a super duper mild case with about 5 pox.

Yes, I think he still might have had a mild case however for some reason it seems to not be as "catchable". Our kids played together for 3 hours while he had a fever and "sores" on his trunk, they hugged, played with cars together and still no pox for my kids
. I'll still get their titers checked if after 8-10 yrs old they haven't had it.
