Hello mamas! I am a full-time career mama, I need to find a good child care center for my son. I can only stay home for 6 weeks, so I need a place that takes babies this young. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"><br><br>
I was lucky enough to stay home for 18 months after my son was born and I am so sad at the thought of leaving my little guy without me at just 6 weeks.<br><br>
Any good recommendations? I would also consider an in-home daycare or a Nanny who would watch him at her home. I just want a place who understands my parenting beliefs and will accommodate cloth diapers and storing breast milk.<br><br>
I live South of the Skyway Bridge, but work in St. Pete, so I would love for the baby to be somewhere close to my work.<br><br>
Help! I only have 2 weeks before I have to go back to work!

I am sorry I don't have any suggestions, but I went through a similar struggle. In the end, btw, I tried both and found myself much more comfortable with a nanny than a daycare center. If you are in alignment with a lot of the philosphies written about in Mothering mag, that may work for you too. In short, it was much easier to trust a person than a center or insitution. For me, anyway. True, both have downsides. And it is hard to find the right person...but so worth it to me. I've also experienced that it is much easier for my little one to be without me in her own home than if I try to leave her in a strange place. Makes sense when you think about it, of course.<br><br>
