Do any of you live in New York City and use Child Health Plus for health insurance for your children? What is your experience with the plan? Are you satisfied?

I am looking for a good physician in Manhattan for my son. Our current pediatrician, who is wonderful, only takes United PPO. Now I am trying to find someone just as good, but who takes one of the CHP managed care plans.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm not in NYC so don't have recommendations, but which CHP plan are you on? You have to pick an HMO. When I looked (turned out DD qualified for children's Medicaid instead) Empire had the best choice of doctors.

Thanks, Alexis. My plan is to find a doctor, and then pick the HMO that the doctor will accept. I will look into Empire.
