So, our video camera was on the fritz. I couldn't get the tape to play, record, or eject.<br><br>
I took it into Best Buy to have it fixed. They sent it out and we just got it back in working order today.<br><br>
Well, I went to play the tape that was sent back with it and found that it had been totally rewound. Ok, they may have done that to check to see if it all worked out, or maybe I did that the last time I used the camera. I really don't remember.<br><br>
But then I watch the tape and realize that: 1) My daughter is always naked. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> and 2) My daughter is always naked in the video. Yikes.<br><br>
I don't want jump to conclusions, but it just gives me the willies to think that someone could have seen the video or even copied it or something.<br><br>
I really don't know if there is anything to do, but I'm just a bit freaked.

Yeah, that would freak me out too. When my dd was younger, she was always running around naked and I have tons of videos of her. I hope that your camcorder gets fixed and no one pays any attention to the video of your dd. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/hug.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hug">

I have a video camera like that right now too. As well as lots of footie of naked ds1, it contains the birth of ds2, full frontal naked me in the birth tub. I have no idea what to do. While I would really like to have the tape back, I'm terrified of letting that camera out of my sight.

Don't worry, I'm sure these guys aren't like a lifetime movie and just saw your kids as cute naked butts...

Best buy? They're a bunch of wanna be geeks (ok, ok, a few are bona fide geeks). I really wouldn't worry about it. They're more interested in trying to overclock a computer then what was on your camera.

There have been cases where the stores have reported the parents for having those materials on cameras, so hopefully they don't do that either.

I have seen several stories on the internet about Best Buy employees pilfering porn and photos of hot girls (notably at consumerist.com -- they did a little sting), but nothing about kiddie porn.
