DD has received both the Little Tike shopping cart & the Leapfrog Shopping cart. I don't have room to keep both, but I have no clue which one to bring back to the store. I like how simple the Little Tikes one is (plus it has a seat for her to put a doll in it), but I like how the Leapfrog one comes with food and lets her scan things. But, I wonder if that would get on my nerves after awhile. Does anyone have any experience with any of these shopping carts?

i've heard from someone else (can't remember for the life of me who it was) that the leapfrog one broke after like 2 days of use...the scanny thing. it wasn't worth it, in her opinion.
i'd keep the little tikes one and buy her some fake food. i think imaginarium has some wooden food if that's your preference, or you can get the plastic kind. or...you could use real food! she can help you gather ingredients for your meals!

I haven't tried the shopping cart but all of the leapfrog stuff we've had has broken fairly quickly

Michele - are you talking about imaginarium.com? It brought me to an amazon site, and amazon doens't ship to Canada unless it's something thin like a cd or dvd. Does anyone else know where i can buy wooden food?

take back the leapfrog one.. or will wish it was broken in about a week..VERY IRRITATING litttle singing frog...the only redeeming quality in my house is when it says "BUHBYE!!" and DS chimes in and starts talking to it..(very cute) otherwise I wish mine would..uhm go away..and btw we lost the food ( when we moved)...so the scanner is worthless...

I ended up building the little tikes one for her and am definitely bringing the leapfrog one back to the store. Thank you all for your input!

Star - great choice, LOL. We have the little tykes one (a gift from last xmas from my SIL) and it's held up great. Dd loves to give her 'babies' a ride & go shopping, etc. My friend has the LF one & it's SO annoying, and the actual cart part isn't as sturdy as the LT one. Hope you get lots of enjoyment from it

Thanks I'm happy with my decision. DD LOVES this cart, and it's helping her with her walking. I love the simpleness of it compared to the LF one. Also, before I made my decision, I went on amazon, and saw that almost everyone complained about theirs breaking or the frog guy always falling off.
