Consider rephrasing you post to sound less prejudiced against a whole nation, please. There are many wonderful people, traditions, arts, and other things from China. If you are concerned about finding toys from responsible companies that have not had problems with lead paint contamination, you can ask for that without accidentally sounding like you are bashing a whole nation. The USA has done it's fair share of contaminating it's people in various ways from crop dusting it's citizens to allowing the lead paint in homes like mine way too long.

Not trying to flame you, just asking for a more diplomatic and accurate phrasing.

It is frustrating but they are out there. www.rosiehippos.com (I think that is how you spell it) has a lot of all natural, wood type toys. I found a play kitchen big enough for twins (or 2 small kids) made in the USA at Sams Club and it is for 2+. It is out there, you just have to look harder....

I think that little tikes is made in the USA as well...but I am not 100% of that.

Here's a very Chinese-friendly reason to avoid MIC:

Yes, please. It sounds like you just dissed one sixth of the world's population.

That works for me.

Dh was telling me about something he read about what happens to the computers and things that we've been so conscientious about recycling. Evidently, they get sent to other countries where the toxic things get dismantled by bare hands, poisoning the workers.
