I'm looking for one, for my 3 year old. I have tricare but I heard you pay out of pocket for the chiropractor anyway, is this true? How much is it usually, can you recommend someone? Thanks!

No, Tricare doesn't cover chiro care. We pay out of pocket for our family, but it is SO worth it.

I'm sorry I forgot to mention that Norfolk Family Chiropractic is very reasonably priced and take most insurance - we pay out of pocket and it's not bad at all!

This may be late, but Dr. Egan in Hampton is WONDERFUL!! And he is the only ICPA Chiro on the peninsula. I took my son there when he was about 6 months or so, and he did really well- Dr. Egan cured him of middle ear effusion, and he never even had to leave my arms!!

He didn't take our insurance at the time, but he was well worth the out of pocket expense. Right now, I'm seeing Dr. Joseph in Newport News for my own chiro needs while pregnant, because he takes my insurance and he's literally around the corner from my office. He's a fine chiropractor, and very nice. I love his TENS machine, and he's available at short notice and at lunch time. But if I have to make a recommendation, there's no question that I'd recommend Dr. Egan first. I can't say enough nice things about him and his practice.
