Just wondering if anyone has info/advice/etc on taking their baby to a chiropractor? Specifically, I am looking for info on whether or not treatment would aid in resolving ear infections. Does it work? Are there risks? We've tried antibiotics for two ear infections - but I wonder if there are alternative methods of treatment, hopefully to cut down on any future ear issues. Other info on chiro for babies is also appreciated and welcome. TIA for your help.

My daughter is allergic to all the medicines they give for ear infections. So we turned to chiro treatment when our doc wouldn't perscribe anything. It has been wonderful! The first time we did it I took dd to the doc to diagnose her, then went to the chiro. That was Wednesday and her ear was horrible! On Friday we went back and it was clear. She stopped screaming and SLEPT almost immediatly following the chiro.

I have had so much success treating ear infections with chiro care. It is so worth a try, especially to avoid further use of antibiotics.

There are many reasons to take your children to a chiropractor, ear infections being just one. I've been a chiropractic assistant for a number of years and when my baby was born she received her first chiro treatment the same day. She consistently received treatment for her first 6 months (since then we've moved and haven't found a new Dr. yet) and has never had an ear infection or any other illness. I believe that taking your child to a chiropractor now can help his ear infections and set him up for a healthier childhood.

Oh my goodness, yes! Take your LO. It is so beneficial for so many things. You should see great results with the ear problems. Just in case you're scared - chiro for babies is VERY gently maniputation (no cracking or anything). Inversions are also done (holding baby upside down) but generally not on children over 6-8 months of age.

YES YES YES! Get your LO to a chiro!! My DD has had two episodes of time where I thought she had an ear infection. We never went to the doctor as I make it a point not to use any antibiotics....so I'm not sure if she ever HAD an EI....but at the FIRST sign of fussiness or ear issues (tugging on ears, ect) we went to the chiro..and IMMEDIATELY noticed a difference...and she stopped tugging on her ear.

My chiro explained to me that my LO won't ever get EI's if we continue with our chiro care because when he adjusts her, he makes it so that if there is any built up fluid in her ears, it will properly drain after getting adjusted.

I'd definitely go if I were you!
