Or for problems that do not directly relate to back issues?

Does anyone here see a Chiropractor for allergies, addiction, etc? How is it working for you?

My chiropractor does neuro emotional technique (N.E.T.) which can possibly take care of the things that you're mentioning, if the cause is linked to trapped emotions. I've only used it for scoliosis pain so far and its worked wonderfully, but I brought my 2.5-year-old daughter in to do N.E.T. and I said well she's had these itchy eczema spots on her ankle areas for several months now and she used to have eczema as a baby in other places and my chiropractor said ok let's see if we can take care of it. Its been about 3 weeks now since her N.E.T. session and my daughter's eczema on her ankles is completely gone. Its nice and smooth now. We found that it was caused by a trapped emotion. He tested the eczema for allergies and nothing showed up.

I'd suggest acupuncture for those issues.

To me, it seems like there's a wide, wide variation among HCPs in any specific alternative-type health profession. One chiropractor may only do adjustments, while another treats a wide range of health issues holistically with a mix of structural work and supplements and dietary advice and other approaches. Although I don't have experience with the specific problems you mentioned, I'd absolutely expect some chiropractors to be knowledgeable and helpful in dealing with them.

At this point, I tend to seek out people who are experienced with the problem I'm trying to address, regardless of their particular degree. And finding someone that you feel listens to you well, and explains things in a way that makes sense to you, that's at least as important to me.

I'm also partial to Traditional Chinese Medicine, my acupuncturist does a great job explaining how things are interrelated, but I think part of the reason I really considered TCM is because she communicates so well.

I saw a chiro for awhile when pregnant and they practiced a form of chiro that treated mind and body. It was called bio-geometric integration. If I had the money I would keep going but I've chosen to stick with acupuncture which I've had greater success with in the past.
