I keep choking on stuff. I drink water I choke, I am eating and I choke, just doing nothing and breathing wrong I can choke! It's very annoying. I was thinking that it's ridiculous to think it might be pregnancy related but I'm not so sure, it happens almost every day and that is not normal!

I did read that muscles can relax...so hmmm..maybe? I really don't choke often otherwise.

Anyone else?

I have been wanting to choke someone... does that count?

Past two nights I woke up needing to cough, but couldn't really cough because if I did I'd be throwing up.

Okay, seriously though, yes, I have these sputtering cackle/cough fits in the middle of the night. Sometimes I wake up feeling like I'm choking, but realize I just need to cough and then do my 10-step roll-over-in-bed maneuver. Sigh.

yes, I bet it's the relaxin making everything loose. I also drop everything. Maybe, magically, we will all just cough our babies out in one quick drop!

I am SO there with you. It happens several times a day, most often with liquids but it could be anything. It has even happened on nothing - like I choke on air. So ridiculous.

For a long time DH would say things like, "Be careful!" But I eventually snapped at him and made him realize it is certainly not a lack of care that is causing this ridiculousness.

For the record I also drop things. All. the. time. But the evening time I am so tired and the babies feel so heavy that anything I drop just gets abandoned. I leave a trail after me around the house.

A co-worker was giggling at me choking the other day -- seems like I'm constantly choking while eating and talking.

Hehe, me too. And I've declared that I am on strike from picking anything up off of the floor. Seriously, it is a big production to bend down and get stuff off the floor. Especially when once I get to it, I just drop it anyways. So Dp is on floor duty until further notice. Toddler messes inluded.

Well, I feel better that I'm not the only one! I don't remember this last time around! I know that my muscles are very relaxed...well, my hips are because they have been very painful, so it makes sense the rest of my body, including my throat, is too! Haven't started dropping things yet!

I have been tempted so many times to pick up those little shovel things used for picking up dog droppings...new of course, but they would be so great for picking up toys all day long!

Yes! I have been wondering what the heck's going on with my choking and sputtering, too! It seems like everything tries to go down the wrong pipe. It's been driving me nuts because it makes me cough and the lower part of my stomach HURTS when I cough.

Not exactly choking, but swallowing wrong and then sputtering. I think it's just overly relaxed muscles.
