OOps..one of the senators in my area is Pat Roberts..I keep calling them both that. I know this is Pat Robertson we are discussing.

He is on the 700 club NM, a lot of them are just really..uumm....trying to think of a diplomatic word...nope can't come up with one. I don't think they should be overly involved in politics IMO. A lot of politics in the US is all about someone's religion and while I am not certain of the Biblical implications, it doesn't make sense to me.

Well anyways, does he really believe that? I don't usually listen to him so I don't usually know what he is yapping about unless it makes the news. (like now for instance) strange.

I have no problem when it does - my problem is when it is a really bad interpretation (which I'd recon is at least 75% of the theology on TV/Radio etc.) of the scriptures - mostly gnosticism, (which is a blasphemy).

My problem is that people spend so much time postulating on what God would think about issues.

I don't think God would care at all about gay marriages and some of these other things some people tear their hair out about.

I think he would wonder why some Christians put so much effort into condeming another's lifestyle when they could be using all of that energy and time on caring for the less fortunate. It doesn't make sense to me and it drives me crazy.

Hilary (not the Briss'ed one), when I was living in England (when there were a number of IRA strikes in London), I remember hearing some enormous explosions one night, and initially being alarmed, but then recalling that it was Guy Fawkes day. Heh.
