I feel vulnerable writing about it, but something has been bugging me lately.<br><br>
Do any of you feel like you are compromising your morals and believes as Christians by doing little things that are not up to the standard? What I mean is this:<br>
I always feel like I'm making questionable choices with the TV shows I watch or books I read. For example, I love reading gossip magazines and watching reality shows like "The Bachelor". None of my Christian friends do that (or won't admit). I have a stressful job (aren't we all?) and I often find myself cursing.<br><br>
Well, it might sound silly, but what guilty pleasures do you have that you would not want to admit to other Christians?<br><br>
I mean it's not like I'm going to hell for the above things, but I always feel like I'm compromising, but I can't stop!

I cuss...and I like rough passionate sex, and Im not sure if the sex part is okay because I am in Christian Marriage or if thats not okay..........<br>

TV as well, like....two and a half men<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/duck.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Duck">: Sometimes I feel such conviction and I turn it off, other times I know it is wrong and continue to watch it. I wrestle with gossip.

Nowhere in the Bible do I see any reason that rough passionate sex is wrong, unless it isn't with your hubby. I say go for it! I hope your dh feels like a lucky guy!

I also feel weird reading gossip magazines when I workout. Something about it just doesn't seem right...yet I still keep doing it!

Yeah, that is one thing I don't feel guilty about AT ALL!<br><br>
Becoming a Christian was the best thing that ever happened to my sex life. (Just ask my DH)<br><br>
I would have to fess up to the gossip mags. I don't buy them, but I pounce on them at the doctor's office or the checkout lane. Which I kinda feel guilty about too, like if I'm going to read it, I should pay for it, but I would feel guiltier about that so I don't.

I do a lot of things that go against my religion. I drink coffee, drink alcohol, swear, get tattoos. I could go on and on but you get the idea.

Yay! Im glad our rough sex is okay then! LOL! Thanks ladies!<br>
I am also guilty of the gossip magazine reading, I love the celeb reads in the check out lane, and have been known to get into a LONG line with full baskets in front of me (and me holding a can of corn and nothing else) just so I can read the gossip mag while waiting! **runs away embarrassed**<br>
Drives hubby batty!<br>
And I have lots of tattoos and lots of piercings in naughty places that no one but my husband should see.....<br>
Gosh, I have lots more to confess but that seems like enough for now. When I read it, it almost seems like Im rebelling subconciously doesn't it!?

Another gossip mag. reader here! I feel SOOO guilty about it--I really think it's TRASH! And yet, in line or at the dr.'s office... I CAN'T STAY AWAY!!! I tell myself that it's better than paying money to them, but it's still filling my mind with junk!<br><br>
Hmmm... Also, I'm gluttonous with my eating habits--I have an insatiable sweet tooth. Oh yeah, and I'm LAZY!<br><br>

What a funny thread! I wouldnt feel guilty about all that stuff (especially the rough sex<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"> ). I used to feel guilty about watching tv shows, reading those magazines. I dont anymore. They arent changing the way my mind works, I can say that for certain. To me it gives me an insight to what other people's lives are like. I think along those lines it can be hard not to be judgemental but I work on that as well. Ok seriously tho. something Ive struggled with lately is dealing with people at church who rub me up the wrong way. Who I just realize that I dont like. I thought I liked everyone or that there werent people in the world I couldnt get on with. I swear at them (or imagine I do, calling them all kinds of bad words).<br><br>
I think of it this way... Isaiah said 'Woe is me, I am a man of unclean lips among a people of unclean lips' I am simply a sinner saved. Im not expected to be perfect. God knows my weaknesses and he wants to work in my life, not walk with me making me feel guilty for being the sinful human being that I am at every turn, yk?

Oh!! I stood behind her at Harrah's (in New Orleans, near the French Quarter) for 10 minutes!! Thought it might be her but didnt know for sure. Then when I left I realized it most definatly was her, who else would wear sunglasses in a dark casino??? My suspicions were confirmed by our hotel concierge who notified me after telling her that her friend works the craps and saw her there too!<br>
I like Angelina, mainly because of the adoption awareness she has raised (our dd is adopted). Honestly though Brad....just dont care about him too much!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br>
