I just found out at a baby shower last night that a two week old baby who was only 5 lbs 7 oz at birth is scheduled to be circumcised today.
I was to nervous to say anything in front of the large group that was there last night but I did leave some information at their house this morning. It's so last minute that I don't know if it will do any good but I can hope right? It's their first baby and they are really nice, I am so hoping they will read what I gave them.

They are new to the area, only been here a few months. I don't have a phone number for them. It was a baby shower thrown by the women at church since this couple hardly knows anyone and has no family here.

I wish confrontation wasn't so hard for me, my stomach is tied up in knots. I SHOULD have said something last night.

This is the first time I've had the chance to do anything in person.
I assumed it had probably allready been done until I heard her chatting with another mom who's sons are all circumsied. I wasnt part of the conversation and was really un sure about butting in.

Good luck! I presume if he was tiny there was some complications. Remind her how hard she worked and how much effort to get him here safely. Since circ. isn't medically necesarry, surely she wouldn't want to put a tiny wee thing through that? Remind he how much it hurts. Offer her support if she has questions in the future about. And if you're part of a church group you can mention things regarding that issue and that it isn't required.
