You know, those "You know you are a WOHM mom when ..." experiences. Here's mine. This morning I was attending a business function and introduced one colleague to another by saying, "This is So 'n So from Such n' Such Company. He lives near me and has kids my kids' age and they have a really nice swingset."<br><br>
Yeah, I actually said that.

That's great! I always get heck from people because I introduce myself like this "Hi, I'm Melissa and I have a three year old daughter... blah, blah, blah" They're always like - say something other than that you're a mother! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/shy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="innocent">

You know you are a WOHM when you look at your co-worker and say "I have to go potty. I'll be right back."

When you leave at 4:00 on the dot and get frustrated at every redlight and slow person in front of you because you can't wait to see your little munchkin (or you are so engorged your bra is straining)<br>

When you realize at the office that on the way out the door your left shoulder got slimed with baby's breakfast and it's still there....or you forgot to brush your teeth helping your kids all get ready....or worse yet, you forgot to eat breakfast.

When you whip out photos of your little one when you run into colleagues and contacts you haven't seen in a while. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"> Did that yesterday when I was at a meeting where a former co-worker was also present.

You want to use yor drive time to try to pump at the same time- just to see if it can be done- I don't recommend it if you drive like me...

when you start applying positive discipline techniques to resolve conflicts at work, to see if they work before using them out at home.

I haven't quite figured that out yet. Apparently the flanges of the pump are offensive to some.<br>

I was at a meeting where I was having a rather heated discussion with my director. I sort of banged my hand on the table (not in a violent way, but to emphasize a point), and suddenly we all noticed the sleeve of my jacket was covered with stickers. My director laughed and commented it was a bit hard to take me seriously with a Barney sticker on my wrist. It broke the tension, alright!
