Vinegar isn't getting my stainless steel appliances clean enough. It leaves water spots...so I'm wondering what do you recommend for cleaning stainless steel.

Also, my glass is streaky with vinegar/water..any tips?

If it's already clean, and you just want to get rid of water spots and make it look like new, then a soft cloth moistened with a TINY bit of olive oil does the trick beautifully.

Works on older stainless steel sinks too - the ones that are impossible to get shiny.

i was about to suggest the same
We have stainless steel canisters in the kitchen .. and 6 kids with greasy fingers that always leave spots. (Ok, 5, the 3mo old can't quite get to them
) and a little olive oil on a rag buffs them right away.

Stainless steel... rubbing alcohol to clean if it leaves any streaks just buff it a little with a clean, dry soft cloth (or a paper towel
: ) and you can make it shine by rubbing with a little oil as barista and weebitty2 mentioned; rust spots come out with a paste of cream of tartar and lemon juice (if you have a ss sink); club soda can remove heat stains (if you have ss pots or anything)

Glass... if this is like the glass oven door or a stovetop it could be greasy or oil residue from cooking so you'd have to do something to degrease it (maybe a little dish soap or something) but assuming it's clean and all a chalkboard or dry erase board eraser--that you never you use(d) for anything else--will take out the streaks
