I am CD3 today and my Clear Plan Fertility Monitor should be here tomorrow, just in time for this month! How many and what size batteries should I have on hand? My understanding from the web site is that I won't need any test sticks for a week or so, is that correct? Or will it start asking me for test sticks right away? If so, I need to buy some of those today, too.

Thanks!!!

hi.

I had that and paid an arm and a leg and used it one month. Actually I didn't like it very much. I'm using the pee-on-the-stick method now...a little more expensive for each one, but if I remember correctly, you have to keep buying sticks for the monitor too, right?

anyway, I ended up giving it to a friend and haven't gotten it back yet, so I can't check on the batteries, but I thought I'd send you this link.

http://www.saveontests.com/

You can get SUPER CHEAP pregnancy and ovulation test strips here. I haven't ordered yet from them, but plan to.

good luck!
If I remember you'll need sticks on Day 6. My feeling is that the first month is very confusing, unless you exactly fit the normal curve, and then what would you need the monitor for.

I am a late ovulater and it took a couple of months before I felt totally comfortable with it. Since then it's been fairly straight forward, and really easy to use. Also I went through a lot of sticks at the begining, and then less per month as time went on.

Hope this helps.

Thanks very much to both of you for replying!!

I had the batteries all ready, and the monitor was supposed to arrive yesterday, CD4. Didn't arrive. Today (Saturday) we all went out to watch Shrek 2 at the theatre, not leaving until 1:30 in the afternoon. Wouldn'tcha know that when we got back home, there was a notice from USPS stating that they tried to deliver a package, but there was nobody home, so guess what? I have to pick it up on MONDAY at the Post Office!!!! AAARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!! Now I will have to wait until NEXT month to start using it!!!
