Clingy

Do babies tend to get clingier all of a sudden around 7 months? DS just turned 7 months and I think that's what's going on with him. It's funny because he also loves to play on the floor and crawl around, so I'll be holding him and he'll insist on being put down, and then 2 minutes later he'll be crawling into my lap again and raising his arms asking to be picked up and hugged and kissed. He also just figured out that peek-a-boo is really, really funny. Seems to me that I read somewhere about clinginess and peek-a-boo being part of the same developmental stage?

I am not quite there yet, but my nephew did something very similar around that age. I think it means he has discovered object permanence and is normal

My DD is going through something similiar and so did my DS at this age.

now that you mention it DD does think peek-a-boo is hilarious too!
Us, us! Ds is 7 1/2 months, and he started with major major separation anxiety a couple weeks ago. He's otherwise happy and secure, though, so we're just trying to hold him as much as he wants while we're home.
Thanks mamas! We love holding him, just wanted to make sure it's all normal
