My mother turned me on to Swanson's Vit and they have a lot of HFS stuff for very cheap. https://www.swansonvitamins.com/Search?keyword=cod+liver+oil&doSearch=true&ntt=clo&n=0&ntk=Level1&x=0&y=0

These were all the same brands found in my HFS. I read about Blue Ice here, as though it's the only good choice, but I don't know why. Any help?

If there is one thing I spend money on it is FCLO. It has been the thing that I have seen the most differences with, including amazing increases in my vision.

Ok, I ordered it. But, how am I getting it into my 2 and 3 yr olds? Do I just split the capsule and make them gag it down? How much do I give little people? And when can I give it to dd (3 months now)? I'd guess 6 months+, but...

Mine was in liquid, not capsules. I gave DS...1/4 teaspoon when he was 1-2ish. I followed it with a chocolate chip. He slurped it right down.

I switched to a lemon-flavored (Carlson?) CLO and he still follows it with chocolate chips. I bet he would find it difficult to switch back to FCLO.

I use Carlsons Lemon flavored cod liver oil capsules. They are chewable or you can swallow them. I take 3 caps a day and DD takes one a day and she chews the capsule. The likes the flavor and doesnt have any issues with it.

I wouldnt worry about giving it to your youngest nursling. As long as you are taking it then your breastmilk should be enriched with the omega-3s and vitamins from the CLO that you take.

FYI, ds (2 yrs) will chew the capsule (Blech!) and then follow w/ enjoy life choc chips. Thank you for that idea! He LOVES to take his pill, lol.

However, I just read the recs for fermented cod liver oil on the WAP site. According to them, as a nursing mother, I am supposed to be taking TWENTY pills a day!!! OMG! That would cost NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS a MONTH! WTFreak?! There's no way. Does anyone take that much? I'd been taking Carlson's Vit D drops at 4000 IUs/day. Should I just keep taking that as well?
