We are visiting India and I wanted to share a couple photos of how my nephew's cloth diapers are kept on.
I have seen a lot of diaper folds and methods here but never seen this one before.
Introducing loin cloth style!

The babies traditionally have a black thread around the waist to ward off the evil eye, but it comes in handy to hold diapers on, too. He is using the airflow covers I brought for going out and they are great-- no heat build up even in this awful heat and humidity.

How cute!! That looks much more comfortable than the wrap around style we use

It's looking like we will have a hot summer, so I'll have to give that a try.
That looks like the Prefold Belt sold at The EC Store - makes for quicker on and off use.
That's really neat to see! Thanks for sharing your pics!

It's actually not at all. The thread is soft and the kids are used it it.
If it did not feel good I'm sure he would cry.

My sister worked at an orphanage last summer in India, I think near Mardipakkam, and she said the kids usually dont wear diapers during the day, just at night, and even so, they had two ladies handwashing diapers all day long each day.
