I did the same thing the first time I lanolized! :LOL Mine were really clumpy. If you don't feel like doing another wash and letting them sit for awhile, just let them dry and use 'em like that.
They might be tacky at first in places, but it is on the inside and won't bother baby, and it where down after a couple of wears. I just figured hey...at least he is really leak-free in quite a few obvious spots. :LOL
This is how I do it now:
First I wash my soaker in Eucalan or WOW liquid. I leave them soaking in that for about 10-15 minutes. Then I put 1 cup of boiling water in a small canning jar with 1 inch of Lanolin, and a drop of baby shampoo(for one soaker). I shake like a madwoman, and it totally dissolves in the jar and looks white. Lift your soaker out of the water while you pour in the contents of the jar and wisk it all together and then lay in your soaker (inside out) into the sink.
I let them soak for awhile and then roll in a towel and step on them to get the water out. Then unroll and reroll in the dry side of the towel again. (
Thanks Ustasmom)
It was so bad the first time, I thought I had ruined my soakers.
Then I was so afraid to wash again!
: It seems so precise and complicated, but it was so fast and easy. Now I have all my stuff together so I can just wash, fill my jar, pour in and let them soak. Yey! Those are the instructions I got from my Kiwi Pie cover.
